Water shots

{Fine Art Photographer}

I LOVE photographing water – I’m just going to get that out there. If I’m on the water, near the water, or even in the water, I feel inspired by it. It’s just a clear liquid, but depending on how it’s photographed, it is so much more to the camera. It can take on a myriad of dimensions, textures, colors. Snap it fast, and it freezes (not literally, but you get my drift), revealing individual droplets, wavelets, reflections. Take it slow, and it’s motion blends into a soft pallet, appearing misty like a cloud. It reflects light and color, taking on the facade or blue or green, gray or black. In short, I just can’t get enough of it.

So in the spirit of watching more water fall from the sky today in Napa, I thought I’d post about my favorite subject in the nature, and share a few images. Enjoy!
